Terms of Service

Last updated October 1, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Surf Platforms Inc. (“we”) for your use of Spice++. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. If you use Spice++ for an organisation, you agree on its behalf.

1. Your account

Keep your sign-in secure and your email address current; you’re responsible for activity on your account. You must be at least 13 to use Spice++.

2. Your content

Your schematics, conversations and comments remain yours. You give us permission to store, process and display them only as needed to run the service for you and the people you share with. You’re responsible for having the right to anything you upload or import.

3. Plans and billing

The simulator is free. Paid plans (Student, Standard and Max) are subscriptions billed in advance, monthly or yearly, through Stripe, and renew automatically until cancelled. Prices are listed on the pricing page, plus any applicable tax.

You can cancel at any time from Manage billing; your plan stays active until the end of the paid period. Plan changes are prorated. Except where the law requires otherwise, payments are non-refundable, but if something has gone wrong, write to contact@surfplatforms.com and we’ll make it right.

We may change prices with at least 30 days’ notice; changes apply from your next renewal.

4. AI credits

Each plan includes a monthly allowance of AI credits for the assistant, measured by model usage. Allowances renew each period and don’t roll over, have no cash value, and can’t be transferred. When an allowance is used up, the assistant pauses until it renews or you upgrade.

5. Engineering results

Spice++ is a simulation and learning tool. Simulations are models of reality, and the assistant can be wrong. Verify any design before you build it, and never rely on Spice++ alone for anything where failure could cause injury, death or significant damage, including medical, automotive, aerospace, high-voltage or safety-critical systems.

6. Acceptable use

  • Don’t break the law, infringe others’ rights, or upload malware.
  • Don’t try to bypass usage limits, access accounts or data that aren’t yours, or disrupt the service.
  • Don’t resell or wrap the assistant as an API, or use automated means to extract it or the service at scale.
  • Academic work is yours to submit under your institution’s rules; following them is your responsibility.

7. Availability and changes

We work to keep Spice++ available but don’t guarantee it will be uninterrupted. We may change or discontinue features; if we discontinue a paid plan, we’ll refund the unused portion.

8. Suspension and termination

You can stop using Spice++ at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, with notice where practical. On closure you can export your designs for 30 days.

9. Disclaimers and liability

Spice++ is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent the law allows. To the extent permitted by law, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and disputes are resolved in the state or federal courts in Santa Clara County, California, unless the law where you live requires otherwise.
