Sweeps and parameters

Re-run any analysis across component values, named parameters or temperature with .step, .param and .temp.

.step

Re-runs every analysis across a range of values. The name can be a part, so that part's value is swept; a .param, so every value written with that parameter changes; or temp. Ranges can be linear, per decade, per octave, or a list. Up to two .step lines nest, the first being the outer loop.

.step [lin|dec|oct] [param] <name> <start> <stop> <inc>
.step <name> list <v1> <v2> ...
.step R1 1k 10k 1k
.step dec param rload 10 10k 5
.step temp list -40 25 85

.param

Named values. Use a parameter in a part's value by writing it in braces, then sweep it with .step.

.param rload=10k
* then set R2's value to {rload}
.step param rload list 1k 10k 100k

.temp

Simulation temperature in °C. One value sets it; several values run every analysis at each one. Temperature changes resistor values with TC1 and TC2, and diode, BJT and MOSFET behaviour through their models.

.temp 85
.temp -40 25 125
